Jani Ruscica is an artist working across mediums of moving and printed image, sculpture and performance.

Ruscica never portrays a subject, but rather explores how relationships between language, medium, sound, form, and the body are constantly in flux– these animate, nonbinary, in- between moments point to the politics of their practice.

“I seem to be compulsively twisting things, stretching things, tipping things, swinging things. All actions that stem from a persistent need to unfix things, to defy categories, binaries… I’m always intrigued by how something behaves, performs, transforms or mutates through a set of material conditions.”
