1. Error is vital for change to happen. Humans were born out
   of error. Born out of the wrong combination. Also in my work. Error is important. The ‘Dattilocodici’ (‘Typecodes’) were born out of error. Error is important for science too. Many discoveries are made through errors. Error provides the opportunity for change.

2. ‘Sono Tomaso Binga / I am Tomaso Binga
   Non sono un uomo / I am not a man
   Non sono una poetessa / I am not a poet
   Scrivo ma non so leggiere / I write but I can’t read
   Il mio corpo è anche il corpo della parola / My body is also the body of the word’

my questions for you

1. Which of the five senses do you favour?

2. What is the importance of your chosen sense in your artistic life?

3. Will the number of eyes in our bodies grow in the future?

1. Definitely sight, even if I wouldn’t always want to favor it.

2. In a certain way, sight is the least reliable of our senses.
   It can be deceitful and it comes with its trappings. In a sense it is exactly this that interests me in the context of my artistic practice, the fact that seeing seems to always exist in tandem with processes of reading, identification and an obstinate need to understand what is seen. It rarely, if ever, seems to enjoy the same sensorial freedom that some of the other senses have.

3. Most definitely, their significance is already overdetermined. The more fragmented our attention spans become, the more important it will be to develop more “eyes”, a kind of polyvision. What it will do to our psyche remains to be seen (no pun intended ; )
